Standard Specification for Replacement Fascias 

Erect access equipment.

Remove the bottom two to four rows of roof tiles (depending on the type of tiles) cut back the existing roof felt approximately 75mm. Remove the existing rain water goods. Remove the existing fascias and soffits, and bag up any build-up of bird nesting material.

Fit soffit channel ready to receive hollow soffit material.

Cut and fit 18mm White Eurocell fascia material to correct height and length and fix with 65mm. 10 gauge A4 stainless steel annular ring shanked polytop nails to end grain of rafters with 65mm 12 gauge stainless steel annular ring nails behind the gutter line. Any joints will have a minimum 10mm for expansion covered with a rigid PVC cover joint. All fascias will be nailed at a maximum of 600mm centres.

Gutters will be white Terrain Ogee gutter fixed with A4 stainless screws through all brackets and fittings at a maximum of 1 metre centres in full lengths starting from the outlet or the lowest point when joining to adjoining properties gutter.

Downpipes will be white round pipes connected to the outlet of the gutter with a swan neck back to the wall and discharge to existing gulleys.

Roof ventilation will be fitted to all properties where roof ventilation exists prior to the installation of the new fascias and will be fitted over the fascia, behind the gutter line.

Under eaves protection is fitted over the fascias and under the roof felt, cut back earlier and pinned to the fascia with A4 stainless steel nails and bird comb will be fitted to all shaped tiles. All tiles are then replaced and any pointing damaged will be replaced with a sand cement mix reinforced with PVA adhesive.
